NASCAR 09
Hint:
Qualifying for career:
When you are qualifying for career at the start of
the game, you will have the option of choosing "Family Play"
or "Pro Play". Select "Pro Play" have you
have played the previous NASCAR games. Family Play is similar
to learing the tracks all over again. You will have no chance
at Daytona on Family Play because the car moves around a lot and
you cannot hold the line. Family Play also has slower cars.
Andrew Nestor.
Hint: Saving money for your licenses:
Before starting, disable automatic save mode. When
offered a license challenge for the next level of rides, spend
your money and schedule a session. Continue until your scheduled
session. Go save your game manually, then take your test. If you
pass, save the game again. If you fail, revert back to the saved
game file before you failed your test. Note: You may need to power
off your PlayStation2 and turn it on again before resuming your
game because the system still saves your session, but not to your
memory card. If done correctly, you will not have to pay for the
scheduled session again. This may save you $100,000 for each scheduled
session during your Sprint licensing.

Hint: Fight To The Top: Early contracts:
If you have done well in your Whelen Modified Season,
you may get some cameo drives at Nationwide or Craftman Truck
Series without actually getting the necessary licenses, depending
on how big of a lead you held at number one and how many race
wins you have. This is most notable at the first race at Watkins
Glen. You will get a very handsome paycheck if you win; however,
you should never use Family Play for this task because the car
will easily flip and you will beach it when taking chicanes. However,
in order to keep that early contract into the next race in Bristol,
you must win. Otherwise you will have to wait until next season
for another early contract.

Hint: Becoming track master:
To gain a "Gold" medallion in a track, and
thus becoming the master of it, you must race the track at least
four times at any series.
Race 1: Win the race.
Race 2: Win without instant rewind.
Race 3: Pass twenty cars. The easiest way is to deliberately qualify
poorly.
Race 4: Lap five cars.
Note: You cannot get two medallions if you win the first race
without instant rewind.

Glitch: Easy wins:
When you are racing a very short track in Race Now
mode, go to the car setup before the race. Set all your springs
and track bars to 0% and your front and left car weight to 0%.
When you go into a turn you will start sliding and almost barrel
roll. If timed correctly, you will get hit on the underside. You
will fly up and hit the chain link fence along the outside and
everyone will crash together in the same location for a 43 car
pile-up. You may get stuck for awhile, but when you get out go
through the pits repeatedly for an easy win.

Glitch: Dario Franchitti:
In the game, Dario Franchitti is a teammate to Juan
Pablo Montoya and Redd Sorenson, but he is also a teammate to
David Gilliand and Travis Kvapil, whom are not his actual real-life
teammates. Additionally, Gilliand and Kvapil are not teammates
with Sorenson and Montoya.
Dylan Mawby.
Glitch: Sponsors:
In the game, Juan Pablo Montoya's main paint scheme
is Juicy Fruit. However in real-life, his main sponsor is Texaco-Havoline,
which is not in the game at all.
Mark Oliveras.
Kyle Petty's main sponsor in the game is Wells Fargo. However
in real-life, his main sponsor is Marathon Oil, which is absent
from the game.
