In the Japanese version, select the highlighted password screen. Press Right, Down and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Up and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Right(2), Down(3) and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Up(2), Left and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Right(6), Down(2) and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Up, Left and select the highlighted Japanese character. Then, select "End" to accept the password.

Start maximized:
In the Japanese version, select the highlighted password screen. Press Right(7) and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Down(3) and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Left(3), Up and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Up(2), Left(2) and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Right(9), Down(2) and select the highlighted Japanese character. Select "End" to accept the password and start at level 50, with maximum gold and all the Bells.

View ending sequence:
Enter END as a password.

In the Japanese version, enter the password screen. Press Down(2) and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Up(2), Right and select the highlighted Japanese character. Press Up, Left(2) and select the highlighted Japanese character. Select "End" to accept the password.
