I don't know about anyone else, but I've really started to take a liking to the 'One Man Band'. WWE could of screwed this up and I'm sure there may have been some other WWE wrestlers who were offered the role of getting beaten up by WWE legends every week leading up to the 1000th Raw episode but Heath Slater has really made it enjoyable and I'll be sad to see it finish. I hope this doesn't mean that we won't see Slater again on Raw, because he's been pure entertainment.

Slater is in a role we have seen before in a lot of wrestling companies its not really just a jobber role persay and for the life of me I can't think of any actual examples but it is something we have seen before. Its the same idea where we see the same lower to mid card guy get beat up week after week and it really serves no purpose other than to be hype for a big event in this case 1000th Raw.

Sure, WWE could have random wrestlers each week get beat up but it becomes the running gag that it is Slater and it becomes the "cue" so those watching at home can be like YES ANOTHER LEGEND!! Slater beating Doink seemed really almost disrespectful and out of place but so did the random match to qualifly for MiTB. I guess it was suppose to put a spin on things.

Rumors are that Austin will get to him but personally I think the legends need to stay lower card legends because to me its just another Stunner and means nothing for Austin. Honestly, a stare down with Slater...or a stare down with Punk? Right.

And yeah, it will probably end at 1000th RAW with no real pay off other than the legends all beat him in one way or another. Unless, something is annouced that results in some sort of roster moving.

I hate Slater. I hope we don't see him again after this. Maybe WWE will do some summer cleaning and he'll get axed... I can only hope. The guy sucks. He drains the life out of most segments. The only enjoyable part is seeing the veterans/legends return, even if it's just to work a squash match against this untalented waste of space. This guy is taking up a valuable roster spot, one that could be given to someone with real potential and talent and a future, but instead somehow he remains hired, likely because he has no pride and they don't have to pay him much.

    Anyway...

I hope RAW 1000 lives up to the hype. They have so much they can do with these three hours, that it's going to be interesting to see what happens. I hope the Kharma thing is a ruse and she returns tomorrow, and with all the hubbub around Lesnar, The Rock, Austin, Vince, and others possibly being involved, who knows what will go down.

Ziggler-Jericho follow up is what excites me. Jericho as a face should be cool.

Yeah I think so far it is 90% good and 10% bad, but very entertaining.

You know oddly enough, on a night where they are hitting all the great moments they kind of messed up on Lita. I mean, yeah she done her moonsault but the big thing with her was always her Rana and showing her thong. It was a huge deal and always the joke that went with the finisher.

Like Kane really needed the help of Taker to take out these jobbers...atleast bring out more! Such shotty camera work! Keep it on Taker when the hood comes off!

F*cking Undertaker, back at the expense of younger talent. With the same old gimmick, the same old gimmick and the same old crap. Brothers of Destruction this has only happened 7 times before, seriously they had six guys there who could have beat down Kane and started a lower card stable but let's bring back this ****. The only thing that has changed is his hair cut. This crap is the reason that Ziggler, Rhodes, Barrett, Kingston etc don't get utilised because you're wasting time on a 50 year old. Seriously f*ck this ****.

Those guys wouldn't have gotten TV time otherwise, lol. Calm down, man. It was just a segment to get a pop from the crowd, and it wouldn't have been the 1000th Raw without him.

You know how much I dislike his gimmick, it just really irritates me to see him continually come back the same. I don't want to see him again till Mania.

He's 20-0. I think he should retire, honestly, and just do random appearances, but he's ingrained in WrestleMania now so it'll be hard to wean the longtime WWE audience off seeing a big Undertaker match at Mania.

The way his gimmick works unless you're s top star you're seen as beneath him and never a threat.

That's how most of those guys are seen. The Rock is the same way. So are Cena, Triple H, etc.

Before the show even started I was like "Road Dogg better be out there, he was in DX damnit" and they brought back everyone save Chyna. It was awesome seeing all of them back in the ring with Dogg doing his classic intro and Triple H making fun of their hair and how Shawn would lose his smile again if he didn't get to say his line, lmao.

The Miz is the new Intercontinental Champion. Great. Another Title that has lost all it's prestige and honor. Thanks Miz. Douchenugget.

Lita back was awesome. As soon as she said she hired protection I knew what was coming. APA and all the other legends beating the crap out of Slater was awesome since that's all he's good for.

Punk's heel turn was shocking to me. I was expecting him to let Cena get another shot since Cena in turn warned him in advance of his cash-in and then to help Cena from Big Show. Him clotheslining and GTSing Rock had me kinda marking out.

    Yeah, my thoughts exactly Tubby.

I dont know if this was bought up... how come Swagger basically put a hurt on Ryback last week and then this week Brodus does one move and its done? Oh and was that an american flag he was wearing?

One guy that you don't like wins the belt, and it's suddenly "lost all it's prestige and honor?" (sic)

To each his own, but that's a pretty bold statement. You know he's been WWE Champion more than once too, yeah?

No, Miz is a one time WWE champion. It was just a long reign by modern standards.

Which made it more than silly for him to be in such awe of winning the IC title.

I mean, I'm typically all for guys putting over a championship by treating it like a big deal (CM Punk saying he was more concerned with AJ's well-being than keeping the WWE title was horrific to me, and I'm a HUGE AJ mark), but for some reason, when Miz seemed taken aback by this victory, it took me out of the moment. I mean...he's been WWE CHAMPION. That's the pinnacle unless you're John Cena!

I wouldnt say it degrades the title but it does make me curious about Christian. I guess, they want a title on Miz during hype for his movie when it comes out so he has a push but it just seems odd they choose that one. Although, I guess he has one more thing to brag about.

Then again I am also curious as to why Albert didnt come out and stare down Brodus and then dance. I mean, lets say the only thing that meant anything was HHH/Brock and maybe Cena/Punk that lead to Rock's annoucment right? Everything else was pretty much just all in good fun. We wont see most of those legends next week and we wont see Dude Love or The Hand any time soon. So, why not have Albert come out and be like "We said he use to be a WWE Superstar!" and then he breaks down into the hip hop hippo...or atleast when X-Pac was trying to get up on Trish have Albert come up on the other side and sandwhich her in while you play X-Factor going to the commerical break.

....and then have Justin say What'cha Lookin' At... *shifty eyes*

"Titus O'Neil is like Kobe Bryant at a hotel room in Colorado....he's UNSTOPPABLE!"

I was just sitting there not paying a bit of attention when I heard that. I'm like "did he just make a rape joke? Aren't they trying to be kid friendly and they make a rape joke?". I know they didn't let that go.
