Took me forever to install it, something is up with GOG, heard it may be anti virus related, but I downloaded it and the patch manually and installed them

Will start playing tomorrow, cannot wait!

I got the game a few days ago and so far I agree. Im also finding the difficulty pretty refreshing. I was at level 35 when I started HoS and i've died many times which is nice because I havent had this much of a challenge with W3 since I was level 10, and i'm playing on Hard.

So far for me, I've faced four bosses in B&W, none of them are even close to as hard as the first one in H0S.

I do like the level scaling as I was nearly killed by a mob of level 39 drowners. (I'm level 42)

I don't remember many bosses from HoS other than
that fucking care taker who was a pain in the ass, fuck him, he sucked ass and felt cheap at times, utter bull shit

I was referring to the Toad Prince. That guy moved too fast to get sustained damage on and his attacks hit you if you got close enough to use your sword. That was one of the few battles in the game where I was spamming Quen and rolling around constantly. I was able to parry/dodge/counter or use combos of aard/yrden/igni on most fights, but this one was tough for me.

Caretaker was hard until I figured out that taking damage healed him, then it was a full on dodge-fest grind. But I just found it to be a long fight rather than hard if you play it right.

The wraith that heals itself with the paintings was a bit of a pain until I figured it out, then it was easy.

The phantom Olgierds were pretty easy until the last one - that one was FAST and if you missed a block, he could basically one-hit kill you.

So far, the bosses in B&W are easier by comparison. It might also be that I'm about 5-6 levels higher than those bosses right now and have a really strong Venomous Viper Blade that has strong bleeding and burning attributes that can take down bosses' health really quickly.

I do now remember the TP fight, though I think it wasn't too bad for me as it didn't stand out too much

I figured out the trick and it was a dodge fest like you said, but it made for such a boring fight, it wasn't hard per say, but it was unfun and just a test of patience in all the wrong ways.

Also yes, being 5-6 levels higher will make it a lot easier, especially given you can beat bosses and monsters a couple levels higher than you if you prepare right

B&W is definitely easier and not as infuriating,

Also, I'd like to thank CDPR. I felt the base game did not have enough content based around testicles and waiting around endlessly in banks, and it's heartening to seem them correct these obvious and significant flaws.

A pair of trolls kicked my ass, it was a mission dealing with the Vineyards, it took me about 5 times to finally get it right, if they got two hits in with their fists you were done even with Quen.

I got the ultimate (master or what ever it is) feline school gear, it also cost me all the money I have, I had to sell a bunch of stuff, it cost me nearly 50,000 as there were a few expensive items I needed to craft them all

I've been slowly selling off some of the crafting items in my inventory. I never knew I had nearly 75 of a few different items that sell for 200 gold per piece. The hardest part now is finding merchants with enough money to buy them from me.

Because I did hear that some things are really expensive.

The armorer who gives you the gear quest has a good amount of coin, especially if you have him craft your gear
