I had a whole post of me explaining how I think the playoffs will go, but no one was going to read that s**t:

    Here's the lowdown-

    - Panthers beat the Cardinals, but not the Seahawks.
    - Steelers make it to the AFC championship game, but not to the Super Bowl.
    - Dallas makes it to the NFC championship game even though the road goes through Green Bay. Dallas does not get to the Super Bowl. Everyone will blame Romo because he'll be forced to rush a throw in an attempt to come back and win against a stiff Seattle defense and will throw a pick.
    - Seattle and Pats in the Super Bowl.
    - Seattle defense is too good, Pats rely on Gronk too much, and Wilson doesn't make mistakes, Seattle wins back to back. ESPN dynasty talks begin for Seattle even though team will likely lose Lynch and probably won't be as good next year. ESPN will also talk about how much longer Brady and Manning have left in the league.

I honestly didn't think this was how it was going to be this year at the beginning. I expect San Fran to make this year.

That sounds like a nightmare scenario to me. God I do not want another Seahawks Super Bowl. Or Patriots.

    Or Steelers, for that matter.

If it's Seahawks vs. Patriots I likely won't watch.

Can you guys seeing someone else winning the AFC and NFC championship games? Both Seattle and New England are really good at home and have home field advantage. The only other team I could see maybe with a chance at making it is Green Bay, but if Rodgers' leg injury gets worse, I just can't see it happening. Pittsburgh is the only other team in the AFC that could do some damage, but they played some very up and down football during the regular season, who's to say it won't happen in the playoffs.

    -Arizona doesn't have a QB.
-Panthers only beat Detroit and tied the Bengals, the other teams they beat weren't all that good.
-Bengals are still stuck with Dalton.
-Broncos just aren't that great anymore because Manning isn't that great anymore.
    -Ravens just aren't good.
    -The Colts aren't either.
-Lions can't score enough and their defense isn't good enough to beat high powered offenses.

Dallas could do it. They've already beaten the Seahawks in Seattle this year and they look really good right now. I actually like Dallas to win the NFC. Green Bay and Seattle are the only other two teams I could see doing it, but Aaron Rodgers is banged up, and I think Seattle will drop one somewhere (maybe because I don't like them and I really want Tony Romo to win a Super Bowl).

From the AFC, unfortunately, I see New England getting in the Super Bowl. They will probably lose to the NFC though.

Back to MVP chat, it's one of either Watt, Rodgers, or Romo. It absolutely has to be either one of those three, especially with Romo finishing the season with the 5th highest passer rating of all time after breaking his damn back. Rodgers just put up another stellar season. Watt obviously deserves to be in the picture, and if he gets it he's earned it, but at the same time he'd also be of more help to his team if his talents were translated to the QB position.

What sucks is that the one time when Romo might finally get some appreciation, it will be to the disservice of the extraordinary impact J.J. Watt has had this year. Sweet jeebus, that boy footballs hard.

As for Super-Bowl...with Suh out, that was the next best thing to a Rams/49er's double-W, for me. Dallas' first shot in 239847239487234203978630938724 years!

I don't see 5th or 6th seeds advancing for the NFC, and I don't see Carolina going to the Ship. What sucks is - it'll probably be a Green Bay/Dallas and Seattle/Carolina matchup leading up to the NFC Championship. Would really rather it be a Dallas/Green Bay 'ship, but what can ya do?

If Dallas doesn't go to the Super Bowl, it will be Green Bay. p sure. **** the Seahawks, the Cardinals, and the Panthers.

As for the AFC, Brady's gonna be well-rested...but his smug arrogance has cost him 2 bowls already (to ELI, of all people!). Denver's not looking as good as they need to, but Peyton works magic. Bengals and Colts will both be gone by AFC Championship game. I think Pittsburgh has what it takes, but they won't get handed anything from here on out. Ravens are gonna play them hard, Broncos are going to play them harder, and the Patriots...well, Steelers just better hope Ike and Troy are game-ready by then.

I'm super-hoping for a Dallas-Cincinnati Superbowl, if we're being frank...cuz...well, my Dad's from Ohio, and I bleed blue and silver, I can't think of a better Superbowl to watch. I also do not have the heart (or stomach) for another Steelers, Patriots, or Seahawks Superbowl.

i'm thrilled to just have my team be in the playoffs. is it sad? yeah. panthers started 2-0, then went 1-8-1, and then finished 4-0. derek anderson started two games and won two games. but this team looks like it finally has its mess together. i'm cautiously optimistic. ryan lindley is a great draw in the first round but i gotta be realistic: i dont see this team winning in seattle or green bay. they always play seattle really close but man has that team looked invincible the past few weeks. theres also the whole fact that the only playoff team the panthers beat was the lions.

should be a fun ride at least. hell, anythings possible.

    I'm guessing a Seahawks/Ravens Super Bowl

I don't see the Steelers getting past the Ravens without Bell.
Cardinals @ Panthers, who cares? The winner will be out the next round anyhow.
I would like to see the Bengals beat the Colts, primarily because the Bengal's are my girlfriend's team but additionally I'm tired of having the ironically very lucky Andrew Luck shoved down my throat when he just isn't THAT good.
I would've picked the Lions over the Cowboys but with Suh suspended, Dallas is going to dominate the line of scrimmage.

Ravens travel to New England to beat BB in the playoffs yet again in Gilette, much to BB's dismay.
Denver loses to Cincy/Indy because Manning will choke, even if he is playing injured.
Green Bay beats Dallas in a surprisingly tight game that comes down to a game winning 4th quarter drive by Aaron Rodgers.
Seahawks tear apart the Panthers or Cards.

Ravens beat Cincy/Indy cause they are just the hot team.
Seattle wins yet again at home against Green Bay in a tight game.

Ravens win the Super Bowl. Steve Smith balls out.

    NFC: GB @ Seattle
My head says the Seahawks win. I don't want that to happen. It won't be easy, but with a player like Aaron Rodgers, it's always possible. This might be me just trying to convince myself, this is probably me being a homer, but IDGAF. The last 8 games, the Packers have allowed 88 rush yards per game, they have rushed for 141 yards per game. They ran for 158 against the Bills, and 152 against the Lions, both very good defenses. This is not the same Packers who played in week 1. Aaron Rodgers being hurt, could potentially help the Packers. Clearly they can run the ball effectively against a top defense, and with Rodgers not being 100%, maybe they rely on the run game a little more.

AFC: PITT @ New England I think New England wins this one by default. I'm really not a fan of anyone else in the AFC. I also wouldn't mind seeing Tom Brady playing in his 6th Super Bowl. He's the best Quarterback I've seen play in the 10 years I've watched football.

Okay Revis and Jaime Collins. Time to win some games so Brady doesn't have to shoulder the load. You guys have been incredible all year, let's do this!

Also, if the Patriots falter, go Green Bay or Dallas! Romo deserves his respect and Rodgers is just so much fun to watch.

Heard about this on the radio. They speculated it is was a combination of not having a first round pick, a QB, and that they're having upper management changes. It's too bad for Buffalo fans, it really seemed like they had a keeper at head coach. Recommence the head coach carrousel.

iirc they refused to give him an extension leading into next year and I don't blame him for leaving given the draft and QB situation with new ownership coming in.

The Chiefs beat both number 1 seeds this year. They also lost to the Titans and Raiders. That's an accomplishment... right?!

    Also, Go Packers!

Um... BS call anyone? Didn't look like a hit on a defenseless player seeing as Tate lowered his head...

Side note: Lol at the 12 men on the field call. How do you (Ravens) mess that up? It's not even a player rushing to get off the field like usual. They had 12 guys just waiting for the play.

4 straight 1 and dones for the Bengals. Their offense was pathetic without AJ Green. Dalton is not the answer at all. He seems to be worse than years past.

The first three games this weekend have been really disappointing. The few years have been filled with great playoff games, so I hope this one picks up. Not looking good for Dallas at the moment though.

I don't get how that wasn't a hit on the punter penalty but the one that Dallas had in the endzone earlier in the game was.

When the Lions inevitably blow this 10 point lead I'll let you know how frustrated I am!
