    New Game Requests

Please post here if you would like your game to be approved by the mods. If approved, you're game will be on the list of approved games and you may start to create your game. If it's not approved, it will be put on a list of disapproved games and we ask that no member try to suggest the game again or ignore our disapproval by posting the game anyway (which may lead to a forum block)

    Some Rules

Anyone caught thrice for not sticking to the rules of a game is eligible for an immediate forumblock.

The rules of any game can at any time be altered by one of the mods without consulting prior to doing so if needed.

The games here are meant to be creative... so if the posts are just a bunch of random words, the game's closed.

    -----------------------------

The first rule isn't meant to scare anyone. Just play the game right and you'll be fine. We just want creative games so that FOG can have a better name for itself.

Any questions or comments or complaints? Either post here or send me or the other FOG mods a PM

I was thinking of a game that involved using witty cuss-downs. Basically you start off by saying a few words, but not going into the actual cuss down itself, and then someone finishes it of with their own interpretation. For Example.

    [Person A]: You can't...

    [Person B]: ... Hit a cow's ass with a banjo!!
[Person B again, thinking of a new one]: You smell...
Someone else carries on from here etc. etc.

"Yo mamma's" aren't included, because we've all heard them before. And rude one involving certain private regions being oddly shaped/different in size etc. are old and lame, so they don't count either!

I'm not really convinced by it. I want to know what Insane man has to say though.

I don't care for it. I just think it has the potential to get out of hand real fast real quick. The last thing i want to do is to start warning people.

I would like to post a new quiz in Quiz-Time, with a separate thread for sign-ups. I was thinking about the logistics of it in my previous account, and I think I've got it down.

Don't worry, My post count may be low, but that's because i post in No Post Count Forums, so i am a very active User.

Name: The Pyramid Of Pleasure: Pokemon

    Players: 4

    Rounds: 4
    Round 1: Quickfire Questions
    Round 2: Hitman
    Round 3: Last Man Standing
Round 4: Race To The Top

    Round 1 Rules:
    1) A board will be shown with 12 boxes, with things about the game on each. A Contender is chosen at random. They must pick a box.
    2) They are asked a question to do with that box. If they get it right, they get 5 points. If they get it wrong, they get none.
    3) The other 3 Contenders are asked in random order, then another Contender is chosen at random, and it starts again.
    4) When all 12 have been answered, the Player with the Lowest points is Eliminated. The remaining Contenders have their points put in a 'Bank'.
    5) If there is a tie at the bottom, the last person to get a question right goes through to Round 2.

    Round 2 Rules:
    1) Each Contender has 3 lives, a pass and a counter.
    2) A Contender is chosen at random.
    3) A Question is asked about the game. If they get it right, they get 5 points and they get to 'shoot' someone. this takes away one of their lives. If they get it wrong, they lose a life.
    4) A Contender can use a pass to pass that same question on to a Contender of their choosing. If they get it right, the original Contender loses a life. If they get it wrong, the new Contender loses a life. A Contender can use 5 points from their Bank to get another pass.
    5) A Contender can use 5 points from their Bank on their turn in order to get a counter. When you have a counter, their is a 50/50 chance that when you are shot at, the shooter will be shot too. A Contender can pay 5 points from their Bank to get another.
    6) When someone's lives are all gone, the remaining Contender's points will be put into their Bank.
    7) If two users lose their lives together due to a counter, the shooter goes through to Round 3.

    Round 3 Rules:
    1) This game will be played up to 20 points.
    2) 3-5 facts about something in the game, such as 'I am a Pokemon from Generation IV' will appear on the board. The first Contender to name the object gets 5 points.
    3) If both Contenders do not know the object, a new one will be posted up.
    4) If, after 10 questions, no-one has reached 25, the Contender with the highest points wins and moves on the Final Round by themselves.
    5) If there is a tie, the Contender who scored the last point goes through.

    Round 4 Rules:
    1) A Pyramid will appear. There will be 5 floors, with the first having 5 rooms, the second having 4, and so on.
    2) Questions, ascending from bottom to top, are worth 5 points, 10 points, 20 points, 30 points and 50 points.
    3) The Contender will choose where to start on the bottom floor. They will be given an easy question from the chosen game.
    4) As the Contender progresses through the pyramid, the questions get tougher.
    5) The contender can, at any one time, switch to another room. This can be done once.
    5) The Contender can drop out at any time, and save their points.
    6) If the Contender gets a question wrong, they lose ALL the points in their bank.
    7) If the Contender gets to the Top and gets the question right, they win.

Tell me if I've missed anything.

This only applies to forum only games and hangman a-z forums. Quiz time and RTVG can have games posted in them without mod consent.

    Oh, Ok.

    I'll go post it. Thanks.

Also, do Images that I post in the text have a filesize limit?

I don't think so as long as you don't have them hot linked and have them from a free site like photobucket or imageshack. I don't have images turned on there either.

Ok, I was thinkin of a Name that Team type of game where the 1st clue would be difficult (being worth the most points) and each day or after 5 incorrect guesses, I'd post a new clue (thus lowering the score). I'd start at 6 points. A person would get 1 "free" guess per question. After the free guess, each guess is -1 (a person can be in the negative)

hmm... there are six points per question, and after each clue, the point total would go down (1st would be six, 2nd would be 5, 3rd would be 4, ect). Anyone can guess the team after any clue, but they only get one free guess. After their 1st guess, if the guess is incorrect and the same person guesses again, it would be -1. For example, if I give out a clue and someone guesses 4 times and all times are wrong, it would be -3. After 1 day or after 5 incorrect guesses, I'd give out a new clue.

I wanted to start a finish the picture thread. Some one starts a picture and then each post people add one thing on to it.

the only problem would be deciding when the picture is finnished. I was thinking just have me insane man or zero post the first pictures, but others should be able to contribute too so im not sure how to do this.

So, if I'm getting this right, you want either Insane man or me to post a pic, and then people start adding stuff to the original?

Pretty much but I would want others to be able post the first pic also, omeone would just need to dictate when it is done. Ill find a link to another forum that had one going for awhile so you can see what it is like.

Edit: Here is the game from the competitive pokemon battling forum I belong to. http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28995

I have an idea I got from other places I go to. It's called Civilization. There are supposed to be many civilizations with 50 points:

    Persian.........[50]
    Roman...........[50]
    Greek...........[50]
    Hitiite.........[50]
    Aztec...........[50]
    Amer. Indian....[50]
    Egyptian........[50]
    Scythian........[50]
    Germanian.......[50]
    Celtic..........[50]

Each post, someone will subtract a point from one civilization and add it to another, like so:

    Persian.........[50]
    Roman...........[49]-
    Greek...........[50]
    Hitiite.........[50]
    Aztec...........[51]+
    Amer. Indian....[50]
    Egyptian........[50]
    Scythian........[50]
    Germanian.......[50]
    Celtic..........[50]

When a civilization reaches 0, it disappears. It helps to copy-paste-modify.

The problem is that I'm not sure what happens when it's over. That'll take a while, but still. Maybe it can be converted into a little tournament, like at the end, the first 3 civilizations that disappeared are elimitated. It'll be 3 rounds for that.

It's kind of like a pokemon game I saw in the forums. I'm not really attracted to it, but I don't mind the game being here.

    *waits for Insane man's answer*

This rule convientenly follows the GW rule: don't double post.
I think that's the only rule. Just keep the points subtracting until one civilization left.

I never noticed it in Pokemon. I wonder why..(Maybe because my inexperience in the complex, endless amount of pokemon and their statistics, I never visited the forum....No, that's not why...)

I would like to do a game similar to The Movie Quote Game, but instead use quotes from plays. Each answer will be worth one point.

I'm sorry I didn't read this TWICE IN A ROW. I would like to confirm a game this time. It's something like a 4 answers game, where 1 person posts for example: "1. Who is your favourite wrestler?
    2. Do you like pie?
    3. Who's your favourite celebrity?
    4. What is your favourite food?

Then the next person would answer and ask 4 more questions.

    What do you think?
