Last two matches: 1. Offense: Watchpoint Gibraltar - 4 kills, 10 deaths... still got Bronze on my team for kills. Made a couple dumb mistakes early. No one to kill the Widowmaker, Junkrat, or Mei. Tried switching to Winston after I got killed 3 times by a camping Widowmaker (Zen can't combat a Widow) because there was a Lucio at the time (who apparently didn't know how to play him). Launched myself to her location and was greeted by a turret and was promptly destroyed. Never saw Widowmaker again... instead I saw a Mei and a Junkrat hiding down in the valley where the first checkpoint is, with a Roadhog there to keep the main path busy. No one else playing support (guy playing Lucio switched to Tracer), switched back to and stuck with Zenyatta... wasn't going to do much of a difference with the others. Only a Reinhardt trying to play the objective with me trying to support him... Everyone else was playing TDM up top... nowhere near the objective. Never made it past that point. 2. Defense, same map: 6 kills, 6/7 deaths (can't remember). Played as Zenyatta the whole time. Same situation. Everyone but a couple of us running around playing TDM. Actually had two guys trying to PTFO, a Torbjorn and a Roadhog. Still found myself forced to continue to back off trying to live while trying to keep the offensive push at bay... often solo... and not because we were trickling in. Most times, I was surrounded by teammates only for them to either push too far ahead for me to keep trying to heal them or just didn't play the objective. One guy blamed the match on my choice of character. I'm not terrible with Zenyatta as long as people are actually trying to win and there isn't a Widowmaker making my life hell. Note, I got 6 kills. Match was a quicky, they only stalled twice for a bit while they regrouped and made their push. Silver in kills. SILVER WITH ZENYATTA AND SIX LOUSY KILLS!!! But it's my fault because I picked Zenyatta. So that's what I'm dealing with. Matches that are wins feel too easy, matches that are losses feel like ass beatings. No middle ground. No way to properly improve as Zenyatta. Good news is my W/L ratio as Symmetra continues to increase... of course I only use her in maps that are extremely advantageous to use here... *cough* Anubis... Side note: Zenyatta needs a buff in either HP or movement speed. The fact that you have to be in line-of-sight to properly use his Orbs means you have to be in the open at almost all times. Zenyatta could be an incredibly useful support player if he was capable of surviving. Current health status of Zenyatta is like this: Good news though, they're planning on a McCree nerf that reduces the damage of his "Fan the Hammer" move making it impossible to basically OHK tanks with the move after a stun. Too bad they plan on keeping the reload-cancel-roll exploit in the game that practically makes the damage reduction pointless because they can Stun-Fan-Roll-Fan. They're also trying to find a way to buff D.Va. She is under used because of her lack of power and survivability compared to other tanks. One of the devs also mentioned in the official forums that they're currently working on ways to implement a higher tick rate and server browser. Tick rate is being worked on Custom Servers, because testing an increased tick rate on quick match servers where people are actually playing would make too much sense.
