For those not in the know, it is a fan project that puts Morrowind into Oblivion's engine. Pretty much everything is finished and now these people are working on Skywind

Anyway, I wanted to replay Morrowind, one of my favorite games. I tired a few years ago, but I had a hard time, some of it was I didn't have the time to devote to it, the second was, I didn't like playing it with m/kb. I originally played it on Xbox.

I figured I'd try this Morrowblivion out, now Oblivion didn't have controller support on PC, but there are xpadder profiles, same with the default Morrowind, but I'd image that Oblivion probably translate a bit better to controller than Morrowind.

So I got it installed today, pretty easy and I haven't really done anything other than make sure it runs, I'm so giddy!

I probably won't get into it until Tuesday or Wednesday, but I cannot wait! Morrowind was such an amazing world to discover, can't wait to rediscover it!

Anyone else played it this way?

It does, it also has quest markers, you can turn both off in an ini file...I did turn off the quest markers, but kept the fast travel on. You still have to discover a place first

Yeah. That makes a lot of sense - I seem to remember that Morrowind was just a killer for having to walk places.

It wasn't super bad, there was stilt riders and you could travel through the mage's guild to most places, plus a mark and recall spell...but it makes it much more fun to just zip to a place I need to go that I've already been to, I'll still explore when heading to a new place, If im going back to a place I've been too, not really exploring just traveling
