Video's been circling the web since the day of the fight.

The video actually came out before the fight started and a lot of people sited a lot of similarities to the fight. The hugging, Floyd dodging a hail of Manny swings, the ridiculous terms Manny had to agree to in order to fight, etc.

I didn't see the fight. From what I understand, Floyd made more contact than Manny (hence why he won), but that's because Floyd's style is supposedly more dodge and avoid while waiting for an opening while Manny is more straight up attack mode. I saw a comment stating that Floyd's style less boxing and more of a physical contact chess match and that's why "boxing is dead". The "boxing is dead" thing has been a common comment I've been seeing too, especially after this fight.

I told my cousin that if you paid 100 bucks to watch a boxing match featuring two past their prime boxers with completely different fighting styles, you're bound to be disappointed.

I know this for a fact: If I spent my time watching a boxing or MMA fight without much fighting, I'd be a little disappointed. I'm disappointed by many UFC matches because a lot of the ones I've seen end up with them on the ground playing grab-ass. I don't want to see two people hugging it out in a supposed "fighting" match, I want to see fists fly from beginning to end.

I didn't watch either. Only £20 here but it started at 5am and I'm not nearly that keen. Not to mention I have no intention of giving any money to Mayweather given he seems to practice on women.

It went pretty much how I expected. If the fight went the distance then Mayweather was always the most likely to win. I think the fact that both of these men are past their prime also gave Mayweather the advantage, as Pacquiao's style is far more attack orientated and much more reliant on fitness and sharpness, both of which he has clearly lost. If this were 2009 I would have been interested, but in 2015 Pacquiao can only maintain the required level of attack for a few solitary rounds.

As you said Mayweather's style has been criticised because frankly it works too well. He can sit back, defend, clinch and then figure out and target his opponents' weak spots. Not exciting but effective.

It was also on the same day as the Kentucky Derby. Two events that people only pay attention to once a year and instantly become experts on. I was at a bachelor party weekend and the guys I was with were scouring the entire town for the fight since our hotel did not offer it. I'm glad we never found it. The amount of money thrown at it is obscene.

Not to mention you'd have been bored. It really wasn't a memorable contest at all.

Pac had a 4inch shorter reach, so of course he wasn't going to make as much contact, Pac was the more aggressive and of the rounds where there was IMO a clear winner, he won just as many.

Floyd grabbed Pac way too many times and ref didn't do anything to put an end to it. Floyd should have been docked a point or two for as much has he grabbed and held

And now people are suing to get their money back thanks to Pacquiao hiding his injury before the fight. $5 million.

The only good thing about boxing to me is that they don't even try to hide how seedy and back-alley it is compared to other "family friendly" sports.

So I didn't get to watch the fight because I was out, but some of my friends were watching it. We asked them to send updates where possible (aka end of rounds and such). First update that came in was:

That update actually came in before the fight started because friends are "funny." Turned out to be a bad prediction.
