Tactics Ogre: The Knight Of Lodis

Music test:
Enter MUSIC.ON as a name at the character screen for either the main character or a character that you are buying. Note: In the Japanese version, enter MUSIC_ON as a name.
Information in this section was contributed by Atsuko Smart.

Delete saved data:
Enter DEL.DATA as a name at the character screen for either the main character or a character that you are buying to delete all current files. Note: In the Japanese version, enter DEL_DATA as a name.
Information in this section was contributed by Atsuko Smart.

Character and item duplication:
Note: This trick requires a link cable and another Tactics Ogre game. Make a backup save of the character and items to be duplicated. Go into your backup save. Trade off your item or character with the other game then reset your game. Reload it then load your original game and trade off again to get your character or item. Repeat this as many times as needed.
Information in this section was contributed by Quang Tran.

Lock all characters except the one to be duplicated. Equip the character to be duplicated with any weapons/armors/spells that you want to duplicate. Hire two soldiers (or use any two that you do not care if lost) and put them at the end in "XYZ" order, with the one to be duplicated last "Z". Get into a fight, using character "Y" in the battle and allow him to be killed. This does not have to be real battle, however if its training the character has to use a Snapdragon. After winning the battle, go to the menu, select "Sort" then "Execute". Confirm it, then cancel all the way out by pressing B. Go to any shop and sell all equipment that the duplicated character had equipped, including spells. To sell the items, sell 99 of it, then sell 58 plus however many you originally had and you will end up with 99 of that item. When done, you will have two characters with the same stats, name, items, and 99 of all equipment and spells that character had originally had, plus more money.

To get unlimited number of Snapdragon Swords, Pearl Necklaces, Circlet Of Wisdoms, etc., follow the character and item duplication hint, but as you cannot sell, just try to equip another character with it after it says 2/1. It can even go beyond 50/1. To "sell", or dispose, unequip until the number is 1/1. Then, do the trick again to get the items again. This also works with "sellable" items.

Another way to duplicate pearl (before Sotavento) necklace is to first select a weapon/armor. Then, select Eleanor. Put the Hand Over Pearl Necklace and press L. This only works if you followed the step above. Equip someone else with it. Go the Eleanor's equipment, select "Ideal Type", "Power Type", or "Release All". She will be re equipped with it. It will then read 2/1, giving you unlimited necklaces.

Alternate ending sequence:
Successfully complete the game in less than 25 hours, with over 50 kills for Alphonse, and less than 10 of your characters dying or transformed into a sword with a Snapdragon.

Hint: Easy emblem:
Go Tosolea and buy one to five level 1 Fairies. Bring them into a training match with whoever you want to get emblems and put him on team A and the Fairies on team B. Make sure the Fairies have no armor or weapons. Since they are so weak, you should be able to hit them and get emblems easily (such as War God, Berserk Knight, Certificate Lancer. Philosopher's Stone. Animal Hunter, and more).
Information in this section was contributed by Sam.

Hint: Easy training:
If you need to train more but do not want to waste your time issuing commands, go into training, press R, go to "System", then "Control Setup", and switch both teams to COM mode.
Information in this section was contributed by Anis Russell.

If you intend to do some major leveling up, go to training mode. Place your character with highest level and the character you want to train on the same team. Place any character in the other team. Order the character you want to train to back-stab the character with the highest level. After the character finishes his turn, end the entire team turn. Then, end the opponent's team turn -- just concentrate on back-stabbing. Remember to get the Miracle Emblem to counter the Bogus Hero Emblem.
Information in this section was contributed by Zheng Yang.

Note: This trick requires an AC adapter. Use the following trick to get two level 50 Knights easily. Give two Knights Heavy Armors, or Even Firecrests, and a weak weapon, such as the Short Sword. Give them each Heal, and set both sides for COM control in training. Then, allow the game to remain this way overnight.
Information in this section was contributed by Adam Whyte.

Hint: Easy items:
If you want some easy items and have an excellent team, go to the first quest level. Set the amount of turns to 1 and switch all of your used characters to Ninja class. Have them all use their special ability on the enemy leader.
Information in this section was contributed by Chriskorky.

Hint: Easy money and rare items:
Note: This trick requires the "Numida Chronology" for quest mode. Go to quest mode and select this Chronology, since it is free and unbelievably easy. You have an option to set how many turns to defeat the leader or all enemies. The greater the challenge, the better the prize. Since all of the enemies' levels are "15", try this at a very high level to get the best results. Your prize can range anywhere from 25 to 3000 Goth, and Ultra-rare items such as the Sandstorm Bow.
Information in this section was contributed by Red Kirby.

Go to the Batraal Chronology quest level with all characters equipped with either Warp Rings or Warp Boots. Have your main character also have a sword equipped, and have the special move "Atropos". Also, if hero is alone, recommended stats are as follows. Sword: any Snapdragon sword, Armor: anything Leviathan mail or better, Helmet: Iron helmet, Strength: 482+, Intelligence: 277+, and Agility: 463+. The amount of turns set as your goal should be 2. if you win with these conditions, you should begin to get rare items such as the Sherwood Bow, Balmung, or Levaiatinn. Repeat this as many times as needed.
Information in this section was contributed by Chriskorky.

Hint: Easy win:
The game uses a system in which all of your enemies are one to two levels higher than your leader. There is a simple way to turn this into an advantage. Train up your followers, but keep your leader about three levels lower than they are. Note: This does not work in quest mode.
Information in this section was contributed by Bartman778.

Use the following steps for one turn quest kills. This trick requires three characters, Atropos, Teleport, and Magic Leaf. Have a character use Magic Leaf on the character with Teleport. Then, have the character with Teleport use it on the character with Atropos. Move him/her next to the leader. Use Atropos on the leader. Note: Your character's level must be higher than the leader's.
Information in this section was contributed by SykikGuy.

Hint: Best stats:
The best equipment that should be used for stats boost is as follows:
Information in this section was contributed by Eric Boone.

Snapdragon Sword
Fire Crest
Fire Crest
Armor of Choice (Warp Ring or similar recommended)
Examples of Snapdragons are:
Giant at max level, 50, would probably add 200 Str.
Fairy at max level, 50, would probably add 250 Agi.
SwordMaster at max level, 50, would add great Stats and "Instant Death" affect
Vrtra, evolved Chaotic dragon, at max level, 50, would add 238 Str. 113 Int. 45 Agi.

Hint: Four Element Katanas:
Go to the Batraal chronology. Next, choose "Defeat All". Set the turns to either 3 or 6. You may be able to get the Four Element Katanas by playing it repeatedly.
Information in this section was contributed by Ross Carabio.

Hint: Deneb:
For best results, complete the following at the beginning of the game. Hire a female soldier from a shop of your choice, and name her Deneb. You may choose her element, but make sure that her alignment is either neutral or chaotic. Retrieve her Vixen's Whisper in battle by successfully persuading a male enemy, and class change her into a witch, when possible. You will receive a message from her, stating that she will be no ordinary witch. Her special and appearance is different than other witches, and she can cast spells that others cannot. She even places a heart-like symbol after Witch.
Information in this section was contributed by pumpkinmimi.

Additionally, it appears that the shop from which you hired her will be "Denebs Shop". This unlocks several new items. There are three pieces of "candy" armor here. They are not too good, but are funny. Equip a character with these items (Candy Armor, Candy Helm, Chocolate Shield) from her shop and Sugar Cane from a later drop. They regain a set amount of HP every turn, but that barely makes up for the lack of defense. You can also sell your Glass Pumpkins here. Trade in, and you will eventually be able to purchase a Firecrest, a stone that gives awesome defense, both physical and elemental.
Information in this section was contributed by pumpkinmimi.

Hint: Glycinia:
If you stop (not get encountered, but have these areas as your destination) at certain places at certain times, you may find Glycinia, a fairy. Depending on her location, she will have different items. Note: She always has a Glass Pumpkin. Her notable equipment includes:
Information in this section was contributed by Hypergamer18892.

Vespa (until you defeat Bison or Suffrir): none
Bison: (until you defeat Aquila): Tundra Bow, Ice Chain
Suffrir (same as Bison): Dragon Gem Sword
Aquila (until you defeat Vespa): Peregrine mail
Vespa (until you defeat Haena): Holy Comet (whip)
Heana (until you defeat Charadrius): Ripple's Staff
Lutra (end of game): Crescente (bow)

Hint: Lubina:
After getting Glycinia, go to Gracula. There will be a gremlin named Lubinnia, equipped with a Sherwood Bow. Have Glycinia go next to this gremlin. It is Lubina in disguise. If both fairies are next to each other, and neither has moved this turn, they can combine their powers to cast Magic Barrage, which costs half their HP, and does great damage for fairies. It also vanquishes undead.
Information in this section was contributed by Hypergamer18892.

When the option of visiting Gracula appears, travel there. Glycinia will mention she senses her sister nearby, but she is not on the map. There is a gremlin resembling her name who will not move from its position or damage your characters (except through counterattack). If you still cannot tell them apart, she is equipped with a Sherwood Bow. Have Glycinia stand next to this gremlin. On the enemy's next turn, she should recognize her, and a brief intermission after the battle will give you the option of adding her to your troops.
Information in this section was contributed by pumpkinmimi.

Hint: Necromancy:
To acquire Necromancy, complete the Batraal Chronicles quest level. In order to use this spell, you must have Elrik. He is the only person able to use this spell, unless you have a Lich readily available. This powerful spell brings back any unit and turns it into a ghost.
Information in this section was contributed by Chriskorky.

Hint: Angel Knight with Bane and Lich with Virtue:
When you get a Lich it is always of the alignment Bane and an Angel Knight is always Virtue. However, if you use the Urn Of Chaos on an Angel Knight its alignment will change to Bane. If you use the Tome Of Discipline on a Lich, its alignment will be changed to Virtue.
Information in this section was contributed by Captin Crouton.

Hint: Ultimate Archer:
Equip a character with the four Enchanted Hunting Wares. The movement range increases significantly if all four are equipped.
Information in this section was contributed by Hypergamer18892.

Hint: Ultimate Bane resistance:
In the Tundra Geology quest, you can get the four Divine Armaments. They are: Oracion (sword, Banish effect), Freude Helm, Saint's Shield, and Southern Cross (armor). When a character is equipped with all four, he or she is immune to Bane weapons, spells, and support spells. The only downside is that you cannot increase their MP with Fluid magic or Energy Transfer.
Information in this section was contributed by Hypergamer18892.

Hint: Human Dragon:
Have a character equip all four Dragon items. The person's element determines which Dragon Breath they receive as a "Special". Equip these four items: Dragon Helm, Dragon Armor, Dragon Shield, Dragon Eyes. Then, your character's element will be expressed in Dragon Breath:
Information in this section was contributed by Eric Boone.

Wind: Thunder Breath (stuns)
Fire: Fire Breath (confuses)
Earth: Poison Breath (poisons)
Water: Water Breath (puts asleep)
The "Special" Breath will cost 25 MP, and you will no longer have a weapon, but only a shield.
