In-game reset: Press Start + Select + A + B
during game play.
Information in this section was contributed by Sergio Torres.
Hint: Selecting your field: Before you start your pinball game, you will see a
roulette spinning. When you press A, it will stop on a
specific field. You can only catch certain types of Pokemon on
certain fields. To get the one you want, press Start while
its spinning. If it is the field you want, hold A. If it
did not stop on the one you wanted, press Start and pause
it again. It should stop on the same field you saw when you paused
it. If it did not stop at the same field, restart your game and
try again.

Hint: Sealeo bonus stage: In the Ruby field, hit the switch by the pond and sometimes
a Whiscash will appear from the pond. Aim the ball into his mouth
and it will take you to a mini-game. This is a bonus stage to
get points only. You can either throw the ball up one of the ramps
and let Sealeo bounce it and make it in the hoop; or hit a Spheal
that is on the ramp to make him go through the hoop. When time
runs out, you will get points for every Pokeball or Spheal that
goes through the hoop. You will get more points for making a Spheal
go through.
Information in this section was contributed by Sergio Torres.
Hint: Kecleon bonus stage: To win in this mini-game, keep hitting Kecleon whenever
he falls to the floor. To see him while he is hiding, hit the
tree and get the item that falls down. It will show you where
Kecleon is hiding for fifteen seconds. Keep hitting him until
he surrenders. If you win, you will get 30,000,000 points.
Information in this section was contributed by Sergio Torres.
Hint: Duskull bonus stage: To win in this mini-game, keep hitting the Duskulls
that appear. After you hit all of them, a Dusclops will come out
and use Stomp attack. To defeat him, hit him when he is using
Stomp attack, or make the ball sneak up behind him and hit him.
If you hit him while he is standing still, he will steal your
ball for three seconds, making you lose time. If you win, you
will get 30,000,000 points.
Information in this section was contributed by Sergio Torres.
Catch three Pokemon on the Sapphire field to enter the Duskull
bonus field. Hit twenty Duskulls with your ball on the first stage.
Note: If you do not hit Duskull quickly enough, it will automatically
disappear when it floats across the screen two times. When finished,
a giant Dusclops will appear. Always try to hit it from the side
or the rear. If Dusclops is standing still, it will absorb any
ball that approaches from the front. This will waste a lot of
time. When it is walking towards or away from the flippers, you
can hit it from the front. Hit Dusclops ten times to destroy him.
The point calculation for this field is as follows.
Information in this section was contributed by Thrashmeister.
Grade 1 (Poke Ball): 30,000,000 x 1 = 30,000,000
Grade 2 (Great Ball): 30,000,000 x 2 = 60,000,000
Grade 3 (Ultra Ball): 30,000,000 x 3 = 90,000,000
Grade 4 (Master Ball): 30,000,000 x 4 = 120,000,000
Hint: Groudon bonus stage: After you catch six Pokemon in the Ruby field, you
can enter a bonus stage to fight Groudon. He will be very difficult
to defeat. He uses Rock Tomb, Earthquake, and Eruption to protect
himself. You will have to keep destroying his boulders and flame
towers to get to him. If you win, you will get 50,000,000 points.
Information in this section was contributed by Sergio Torres.
In the Groudon bonus stage, the Pokemon appears flanked by a ring
of flame torches. Instead of spending time trying to destroy the
torches to gain access to the Pokemon, use it to your advantage.
Before Groudon activates the shield, flip your ball up to the
Pokemon. When the shield is activated, the ball is trapped within,
hitting the Groudon continuously.

Hint: Kecleon bonus stage: Catch three Pokemon on the Ruby field to enter the
Kecleon bonus field. Hit Kecleon when he is lying down ten times
to force him to succumb. This will be difficult, as he will be
invisible most of the time. To find him, follow the movement of
the water puddle and bushes. To get the Devon Scope, hit the large
tree in the back of the field. Get it to see Kecleon for a certain
amount of time. The point calculation for this field is as follows.

Grade 1 (Poke Ball): 30,000,000 x 1 = 30,000,000
Grade 2 (Great Ball): 30,000,000 x 2 = 60,000,000

Grade 4 (Master Ball): 30,000,000 x 4 = 120,000,000
Hint: Kyogre bonus stage: After you catch six Pokemon in the Sapphire field,
you can enter a bonus stage to fight Kyogre. He will be very difficult
to defeat. He uses Ice Ball, Dive, and Whirlpool to protect himself.
You wil have to keep evading his Ice Balls and Whirlpools to get
to him. When he dives, it will show you one second before where
he will appear from. If you win, you will get 50,000,000 points.
Information in this section was contributed by Sergio Torres.
Hint: Easy bonus stage: To get to any bonus stage quickly, light up the EVO
switch by shooting the Pokeball through the correct loop three
times and evolve your Pokemon. You should find that it has added
two Pokeballs to the part in the middle instead of one. This will
get you to the bonus stage quickly.

Hint: Makuhita helper: In the Ruby field, a Makuhita will be on the right
side of the field and is helpful for getting better Pokeballs.
To get it to help you, hit the Chikorita on the left side of the
field, then hit the Linoone that pops out where Makuhita is located.
Makuhita will turn around, and whenever you press the right flipper,
he will punch. If timed correctly, he can punch the ball to hit
a Nuzleaf that will eventually make a bridge to get an upgrade
on your ball.
Information in this section was contributed by Sergio Torres.
Hint: Shedinja: You will automatically receive Shedinja when you evolve
a Nincada into Ninjask in Evo mode. When you get "Game Over",
go to the Pokedex and it should be there.
Information in this section was contributed by John Bowley.
Hint: Zigzagoon helper: In the Sapphire field, a Zigzagoon will be on the right
side of the field and is helpful for getting better items on the
roulette. To make him help you, hit the point he is standing on.
If you hit it correctly, he should be standing up. Whenever the
roulette is spinning, press A to make it slow down. If
an A button appears above Zigzagoon, press it when you want to
make the roulette stop on what you want. Zigzagoon will use Agility
to make it stop on what you selected.

Hint: Capture Kecleon: Finish the Kecleon bonus round with at least 1:00 minute
remaining.

Hint: Capture Kyogre: While playing on the Sapphire table, catch three Pokemon,
complete the Duskull stage, then catch another three Pokemon to
get the Kyogre stage. Avoid whirlpools and ice shards and hit
Kyogre fifteen times to defeat it. Defeat Kyogre twice and you
will catch it.

When Kyogre surfaces after diving twice, shoot the ball up the
top above where he would be. The ball should get trapped and you
wil win the round.

To capture Kyogre, you must complete the Kyogre bonus stage two
times. To get to the Kyogre bonus field you must complete the
Duskull bonus field.
Information in this section was contributed by CheeseMonkey72.
At the very start of the bonus stage, flick the ball and hit him
once. Before he uses his Ice Beam move, let your ball drop through
the middle and he will miss. When your ball reappears, it will
have saved more time than getting caught in his Ice Beam.

Hint: Capture Groudon: Finish the Groudon bonus round with at least 1:00 minute
remaining.
Information in this section was contributed by steven khuu.
While playing on the Ruby table, catch three Pokemon, complete
the Keckleon stage, then catch another three Pokemon to get the
Groundon stage. Avoid the fireballs/firepillars and rocks, and
hit Groundon fifteen times to defeat it. Defeat Groundon twice
and you will catch it.
Information in this section was contributed by XxFatalPhoenixX.
Hint: Capture Jirachi: While playing on either table, after completing both
the events mentioned elsewhere (catch Groundon/Kyogre and Rayquaza,
on the same ball/turn), the Apparition stage will appear on the
slots. Alternately, catch three Pokemon, although the slots are
easier. Once the Apparition event is activated, hit Jirachi three
times (who appears on the table, unlike the other Bosses which
teleport you to a different stage) and you will catch it.
Information in this section was contributed by XxFatalPhoenixX.
This trick can be done on any field. Enter travel mode six times
to go to the ruins. Activate slot mode, and if you get lucky it
will stop on the Jirachi panel. It will break open and release
Jirachi. You must hit Jirachi three times, but within thirty seconds.
Note: Jirachi will be flying around the stadium. Also, use the
Zigazoon switch to stop the slot on the right panel. This trick
can also be used to catch the Regies and Beldome.
Information in this section was contributed by memesnook.
Hint: Metacross: To get Metacross, you must first become the Pokemon
League champion. Then, go to steven's house and take the Pokeball
off his desk. His house is at Mossdeep City. You will get Metacross's
first stage in that pokeball at level 5. You must train it to
its second level (Metang) to which evolves in the level 20s. It
then evolves to Metacross at level 45.
Information in this section was contributed by Alexander Hamilton.
Hint: Capture Rayquaza: Finish the Rayquaza Bonus ROUND with at least 1:00
minute remaining.
Information in this section was contributed by steven khuu.
While playing on either table, catch three Pokemon, complete the
Duskull stage, then catch another three Pokemon to get the Kyogre/Groundon
stage. Defeat Kyogre/Groundon twice, then when you activate the
slots, or catch another three Pokemon, you will find the Rayquaza
stage. Avoid the thunder and the tornadoes and hit Rayquaza fifteen
times to defeat it. Defeat Rayquaza twice and you will catch it.
Information in this section was contributed by XxFatalPhoenixX.
For every fifteen Pokemon you catch, you will be able to enter
the Rayquaza bonus stage. This bonus will require patience to
get through, as Rayquaza enjoys using Extreemespeed, Thunder,
and Fly. Defeat Rayquaza two times in order to catch it. Note:
The total amount of Pokemon needed to capture Rayquaza is 30 (one
Rayquaza match for every fifteen Pokemon captured).
Information in this section was contributed by CityNightRush117.
Hint: Capture the three Regis: While playing on any table, keep moving stages until
you find yourself on a stage which depicts a mountain, with the
moon on the mid-top of the screen. Once there, go on Get Mode
until you find the three Regis. They are not very rare, so you
can catch more than one if desired. Do not move to a different
stage unless you have caught the three Regis (Regice, Regirock,
Registeel).
Information in this section was contributed by XxFatalPhoenixX.
Hint: Defeating Kecleon: In his stage, he is invisible, but there are two ways
of knowing where he is located. Hit the tree and glasses will
fall out, allowing you can see him, or look at the environment.
If you see something (like a plant) move, go there.
Information in this section was contributed by Luis Alicea.
Hint: Get to bonus stage faster: In the Pokemon Ruby field, hit the formation switch
(by the pond) and sometimes Whishcash will appear. Do not hit
him; he will disappear. Instead touch his mouth to transport to
Sealo's bonus stage.
Information in this section was contributed by Luis Alicea.
Hint: Opening PokeMart in Sapphire: In Sapphire, you will notice a PokeMart flanked by
a Plusle and a Minum. To get past the electricity, hit the plus
and minus buttons below the Plusle and Minum. They will get knocked
down and the electricity will disappear, giving you access to
the PokeMart.
Information in this section was contributed by Ben Beveridge.
Hint: Totodile: You can rarely see Totodile in the Ruby stage when
Aerodactyl is bringing an egg. Sometimes Totodile appears and
puts it.
Information in this section was contributed by Luis Alicea.
Hint: Easy points: Catch many egg Pokemon, travel a lot, win bonus games,
or hit bumpers and other interactive objects in the stage.
Information in this section was contributed by Luis Alicea.
Hint: Easy lives: Note: This trick is only done in Ruby. First,
hit the Chikorita button. It will hit both Linoone. Hit the one
on the right to have the Makuhita turn the other way. Hit the
right flipper at the correct moment to go around the circle. Wait
until you are just about to go down. If timed correctly it will
hit the ball and get coins. Do this many times and then open the
mart. Go inside and get a life when you have 99 coins.
Information in this section was contributed by DANMAN0025.
Hint: Easy hit on bumper: When in capture mode, let the ball fall because you
will have Ball Saver. When it is going through the top of the
bumpers in Ruby, tilt it. It will hit the bumpers which are needed
to catch the Pokemon. Sometimes if you are lucky, it will hit
two Pokemon at the same time, which will automatically make the
Pokemon appear in the middle.

Glitch: Teleporting shop keeper: Talk to the man in Oldale Town who gives you a free
Potion. Then, walk over to the left to the route where a man is
drawing Pokemon footprints. Do not talk to him directly. Instead,
walk past him and he will stop you because he wants to sketch
the footprints. Then. walk over to the place where the Potion
man was located. He should not be there and will be somewhere
else or have completely disappeared. If you enter then exit a
building, he will be back again.
