Glitches
Duplicate items
Created by Linkthe1st.
Have two magic scrolls of the same type. Note: They
cannot be stolen. Select the scroll twice. Drop the item to be
duplicated from your inventory. The item must not have any damage.
If it is a magical item., it must be fully charged. Exit the inventory
screen and collect your duplicated items. Note: Some armor and
weapons cannot be duplicated.
Note: When using the "Duplicate items" trick, instead
of using just two scrolls you can use any number of the same scroll
to get that many more of the desired item. You still only have
to select the spell twice. For example, 230 scrolls results in
230 duplicates. The items can then be sold to make lots of money.
Unlimited gold
Go to the Talos Plaza District in the Imperial City. Go to Dorian's house. Note: If facing the dragon statue turn left and it is the first house on the left. Go inside the house and talk to him. He will not like you very much. Bribe him then use a paralyze spell on him. While he is paralyzed, select him. You will see the items menu. Select his money, and you can take it repeatedly. When done, guards will come after you but with a weak fine. If you are not happy with amount taken, go back and do it again. This can be done as many times as desired.
Floating paint brushes
Take a paint brush (which can be found at the Imperial
City inside boxes and barrels). Position your view to where you
want it to float. It will appear a few inches ahead of you. Enter
your inventory and press Square to drop it.
You can use floating paint brushes to trap people and enemies.
Get some paint brushes and put them around someone like a wall.
They will not be able to move. You can attack them and do whatever
desired. You can also make a wall of them so enemies cannot get
to you. You can also make a staircase to anywhere, provided you
have enough brushes. Make one float where you want to start the
stairs, then jump onto it. Next, put one above that and repeat.
You can go as high as desired.
Dancing paintbrush jars
Go into Rythe Lythanda's house. Enter the room that
is locked. Note: Talk to his wife, who should be inside, and she
will give you the key for the room. When inside, look next to
the empty wooden aisle. There should be two paintbrush jars. Walk
over them and they will start dancing.
Grass world
Go to the Imperial City. Once inside, notice that there
is a wall surrounding the place. Get as high and as close to the
wall as you can. Then, find a way to jump over it. You can do
this in a number of ways. For example, cast many Fortify Acrobatics
spells or use the "Floating paint brushes" glitch to
create a staircase. Once you get over it, you should land outside.
It is just grass. There will be patches of land and grass and
many gray areas. The land is still there. You can swim and fall
off cliffs, but will not be able to see them. To exit, you must
load a saved game.
Strange item
Pickpocket from Delphin Jend in the Bravil Mages Guild and take the item called <Missing Name>. Once dropped this item looks like a giant exclamation point. Note: Once dropped
this item cannot be picked up again.
Weightless Deadric armor or weapon
Summon any armor either by spell or summoning stone. After that, get the bound armor damaged. It does not have to be a lot of damage. Then, repair it with a hammer. Drop the armor and let the spell run out. If you do not do this the armor will disappear from your inventory. After the spell wears off, pick up the armor and it will be weightless. This will also work with any bound weapon.
Jump extremely high
Before performing this glitch you must have the dodge ability from the Acrobatics skill and access to the Arcane University. Go to the Arcane University. Go to the building all the way at
the right when just entering the Arcane University door. It is called the Lustratorium. The building's door is close to a garden surrounded by pillars. Face the stairs closest to the door. The stairs have purple flames on both sides of them. Walk to the center of the stair's bottom step. Face the purple flame at the right. While facing in the same direction, back up about three or four steps for a running start. Run for a ,moment and use the dodge-forward ability by holding L1 + Triangle while moving forward. You should have diagonally rolled up three or four of the stairs and onto the pedestal that holds the purple flame. If done correctly, the action of rolling upwards onto the pedestal should have flung you up high in the air and over most of the Arcane University's buildings. Note: This may not work the first time. Note: The stone wall behind the stairs may block you when you go up. The beginning position is approximate; you may need to adjust your position. Most of the time you will just roll over the purple flame. Doing this trick will dramatically increase your Acrobatics skill once you land. Watch your health; big landings like this can hurt badly. It does not matter if you have weapons equipped when performing this trick. Also, you can stand on top of the buildings after
doing this trick and jump outside of the walls surrounding the Arcane University and walk on invisible ground as in the "Grass world" glitch.
Levitate
To perform this glitch you must have the Water Hopping ability achieved by reaching level 100 in the Acrobatics skill. You do this trick on any water area, for example by the left galleon in the waterfront by the Imperial City. Hop on water continuously and you will hear the sound of your feet hitting and leaving the water. Once the sound goes away while you are still jumping on water (and large ripples of water follow underneath your feet even when you are not touching the water), you can do the trick. Keep hopping on the water and make your way towards the shore. Once you are near the shore (about five feet away), make a huge leap from the water and onto the shore (about two feet into the shore). Your feet will not touch the ground and you will be able to float your way around. Note: Going up stairs or having your feet touch a surface at the level of your feet, such as boxes or barrels, will ruin the levitation. You can do everything you normally do, such as talk to people, swing your sword, etc. However when you press L1 to use your shield, your character will kick its legs as they it is swimming.
Rain through roof
Whenever it is raining outside, go under a roof that is still outdoors. A very good place to try this is in the tunnel on your way to fight in the Arena. Notice that the rain goes through the roof as though nothing is above your head.
Easy Alchemy experience
Join the Fighters Guild. Go to either the Bruma or Skingrad Fighters Guild. Make sure you have at least a mortar and pestle. Go inside the cupboards. If in Bruma, it is next to a display case. In Skingrad, go through front door then go right to the cupboard next to the table. Take out all the food inside the cupboards. Immediately put the exact same foods back inside. Exit the cupboard, then go back in. The food should be infinite. You can keep taking food and use it for Alchemy. If you get too many potions that are not needed, sell them for gold. You can get up to level 8 to 11 if you start from level 1 in a decent amount of time. Sometimes if you turn off the game you will have to start again as the food will not stay infinite.
Goblin Warchief flops
After killing a Goblin Warchief, shoot it in the bottom of the foot with bow and arrows. It will flop around momentarily. This may require several attempts.
Unable to complete quest
Complete the "Cure For Vampirism" quest before closing the Oblivion Gate outside of Skingrad for the "Allies For Bruma" quest. You will be unable to complete "Allies For Bruma" Skingrad part . After you speak to Hal-Liurz to retrieve the Count to complete "Cure For Vampirism", she will tell you that she will get you. Anytime after that, before or after the Count actually meets you, Hal-Liurz will respond, "Please wait in the Hall. The Count will be with you shortly." She will respond the same way if you already got your reward for "Cure for Vampirism" and are returning to notify the Count that the Skingrad Oblivion gate is closed, then she will just carry on her normal routine without summoning the Count.
Zoom in with any weapon
This trick requires the zoom in ability with a bow. Take out your bow (R1), pull it back with an arrow (hold R1), zoom in (L1), shoot the arrow (release R1), but hold L1. Then, put the bow away or change weapons. Your character will continue zooming in until you release L1. This is useful for killing enemies from a distance with a staff.
