Hints

Golden tools

When a customer has an apple, keep painting it and a caterpillar will pop out and turn into a butterfly. Put your tools behind a butterfly and they will begin to flash. Keep your tools behind the butterfly until they turn gold. If you have golden tools you cannot make a mistake on a haircut.

Small tools

Get a rainbow by snipping bells or apples. Ring bells while you have a rainbow. After awhile, your tools will get small. When they are small, completing haircuts is much easier.

Rain

Use your tools on the cloud floats above the plant from time to time. Spray it enough with the water and it will rain on the plant, causing it to grow.

Butterfly

When a customer has an apple, keep painting it and a caterpillar will pop out. Keep painting and it will turn into a butterfly. Take a picture of it to get a reward.

Rainbow

When a customer has an apple or bell, cut the middle of it with the scissors. Keep the object in the air for a while continuing to snip at it. After four cuts, the object will turn into a rainbow. Take a picture of a rainbow to get a reward.

Exploding apple

When a customer has an apple, squirt it until it explodes.

Bird

Keep painting the bird that appears when Maizy gets a haircut and it will release hearts, flowers, stars and other objects.

Upside down customers

A customer by the name of Strawbinski says there is a new invention to try out. Notice that he is upside down. When you give him a haircut he will give you a strange machine. When you select it, the machine will spark and have electricity running across two poles. That means that it is switched on, and all your customers will arrive upside down. You will have to cut their hair upside down. If you click the machine again, it will turn off and the customers will return to normal. You can find that machine under the "Gifts" tab.

Bypass time limit

Bonsai Barber normally only allows you to play 15 minutes per day, then you must wait until the next day to get new Customers. You can bypass this restriction by setting the date ahead each time under the Wii Options. You can continue doing this to keep playing Bonsai Barber, but do not forget to save your game and correct the date when you are done.

Getting rid of old trees

All living things age over time, even the trees. You will notice certain trees with white leaves that cannot be painted over, etc. They depict aging, just like white hair but the trees get white leaves. The white leaves often block your ability to get 5 *s because the description of the cut does not ask for white coloring. You can get rid of the white leaves by chopping off the entire tree (chop off the entire stump). Then, regrow the tree with the spray bottle. It will grow back nice and green with no white leaves.
